And I didn't even go through the Game Theory course they offer at the 'tute! Wonder if they still actually offer that...

Re: RPI Pick to Click 2016-17

Three-way tie at the top this week, as FlagDUDE08, Ralph Baer, and RPI fan 4 life all earn the bonus point. Hooray! That said, we all did real bad this week, topping out at three points of a possible 11 (plus one).

Brady Wiffen (1-0–1; no one) and Jacob Hayhurst (0-2–2; Ralph Baer, MavHockey14) led eligible RPI players on Friday. For those that suck, a whole bunch of players earned three PtC points. Among them was Troy Josephs (1-1–2; RPI fan 4 life). No one picked any of the other five. We're good at this.
RPI's only scored one goal on Saturday, and Patrick Polino (no one) was responsible. The Saints marched in behind defenseman Nolan Gluchowski (no one), who assisted on two of the road team's goals.

            Results! (and link):
            3 + 1 points
            FlagDUDE08
            Ralph Baer
            RPI fan 4 life

            2 points

See the first post in this thread. Basically you pick one person from each team for each game. Different players must be taken for the two games. Also you can't take the two highest scoring forwards and highest scoring defenseman (see post 81). Points are given for goals and assists (more for defensemen than forwards) and goalie quality starts and shutouts. At most one goalie can be selected. If I said anything wrong, Post 1 in this thread takes precedent.

I am sure that lugnut92 would be happy if you enter, even just for this week. You won't win for the year (unless you pick your goalie, no one else does, and he gets a hat trick, but even that won't be quite enough )

That all looks right to me. We'd love to have you join!

(A goalie shutout hat trick would still only be 35 points, which would undoubtedly be a record, but wouldn't compete for the end of year lead. You'd need that to happen like three times.)

Has a goalie ever scored with the other goalie in the net, even if just being the last to touch the puck, not necessarily directly off his stick?

Yes. I even saw it once in the RPI Holiday tourney in 1980/81 when Maine's Jim Tortorelli scored vs. Vasby (Sweden).

Fair enough. Granted, a goalie scoring is so rare as it is...
