Scoobs is correct. While not specific to Bernie supporters too many people want to hide behind the mantra of "well, I didn't vote for him" while conveniently omitting the fact that if you didn't vote Democratic, either for Prez or down the ballot, you enabled Trump to get elected with your passivity.Legally drunk???? I find it pretty funny that only one of you has the guts to admit to voting for Trump. It's pretty amazing the guy won, when no one actually voted for him, unless you would have us believe that Trump just happened to do so much worse among Republican college hockey fans vs other Republicans.

I love that in one breath you're saying we need to all pull together and then in the next breath you say "not like those {whoever your hissy fit is against today}."
Move. On. We've got a bigger problem now. Whatever Hillary's merits, she's done. There is no longer any reason at all for you to snipe other than your wounded ego still recovering from the embarrassment of lecturing all of us for months about Her Inevitability only to fall flat on your face on 11-8.Last edited by Kepler; 02-17-2017, 09:22 AM.Cornell University

The GOP is responsible for Trump being nominated, but to pretend the Libs arent at least in part responsible for his being elected and for the current disgusting level of hatred amongst the parties is Fox News level echo chamber BS.
Pennsylvania:
2008 - 3.27 million to 2.66 million
2012 - 2.99 million to 2.68 million
2016 - 2.93 million to 2.97 million
Wisconsin:
2008 - 1.68 million to 1.26 million
2012 - 1.62 million to 1.41 million
2016 - 1.38 million to 1.40 million
Michigan:
2008 - 2.87 million to 2.05 million
2012 - 2.56 million to 2.12 million
2016 - 2.27 million to 2.28 million
Minnesota:
2008 - 1.57 million to 1.28 million
2012 - 1.55 million to 1.32 million
2016 - 1.36 million to 1.32 million
Iowa:
2008 - 0.83 million to 0.68 million
2012 - 0.82 million to 0.73 million
2016 - 0.65 million to 0.80 million
Ohio:
2008 - 2.94 million to 2.68 million
2012 - 2.83 million to 2.66 million
2016 - 2.39 million to 2.84 million
I see a trend there. Not much uptick in GOP votes in the battleground states but a massive dropoff in votes for the Democrats.
The big exception is Florida.
Florida:
2008 - 4.28 million to 4.04 million
2012 - 4.24 million to 4.16 million
2016 - 4.50 million to 4.62 millionCode:As of 9/21/10: As of 9/13/10: College Hockey 6 College Football 0 BTHC 4 WCHA FC: 1

I keeed -- that's actually a big leap. Well done. The biggest step I ever took across the aisle was Bill Weld, which is hardly even a hop (and John Silber was a true as-shole), though I voted for dozens of Libertarians before I grew up.
My election choices are almost always driven by two factors, at least on a statewide or federal level. The first factor is whether I think I like the person, admittedly with zero personal interaction with any of them. Would I feel comfortable if they showed up at my home and wanted to sit around shooting the breeze. Do they appear level-headed to me, or are they strident about everything?
The second is, are they the incumbent, and have they done anything during their prior term(s) that really disqualifies them. I think experience counts in your ability to perform the job, and with things like Senate seats, can be really important in terms of power. I'm sure it'll shock people here, but the last incumbent Presidential candidate that I did not vote for was Jimmy Carter. I think switching Presidents every four years is like switching coaches every two years. It just doesn't lead to success.
I just think that as a President, regardless of your party, you need to be given a chance to get your full plan implemented. We'll let history judge your performance.
I fear, by the way, my streak is about to be broken. That community is already in the process of dissolution where each man begins to eye his neighbor as a possible enemy, where non-conformity with the accepted creed, political as well as religious, is a mark of disaffection; where denunciation, without specification or backing, takes the place of evidence; where orthodoxy chokes freedom of dissent; where faith in the eventual supremacy of reason has become so timid that we dare not enter our convictions in the open lists, to win or lose.
