ONE good line: (paraphrased): Never go full re tard. (apparently that is a censored word)

THAT was classic. Other than that? Puke-worthy.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

The Departed is the worst movie ever made, then.

But I'm giving it a break because it's contemporary and thus my expectation is that it will more than likely suck.

The thing about CJ is it was made before movies were created primarily for teenagers.

I would disagree with The Departed, but that is a hot topic around these parts.

I will say, even for the people who hated The Departed, they finished the movie. I can't say the same for me and Tropic Thunder. I can sadly say the same for Nothing But Trouble, which I regret to this day.

I like Nothing But Trouble. But yes, they didn't know how to end it. It's Holy Grail-level weak ending.

YES! Except Holy Grail was actually a classic until the ending.

Um wasn't Tropic Thunder a farce or at least satire? I don't know if The Departed is the worst, but it's easily Top 5 while TT isn't even in the running.

The Departed is fine...Tropic Thunder was awful. I saw it for free and wanted my money back.

                          I had no idea.

This would have been a wonderful film, given the director/writer. A3 is actually pretty good as it is, but I really respect Vincent Ward for The Navigator and would have enjoyed this immensely. Plus, David Twohy is a bit of a putz.

IIRC, I somewhat enjoyed Tropic Thunder when it first came out, but I was 21, and probably drunk. I doubt it would hold up as well with a sober repeat viewing.

It's a fun movie if you're not trying to take it seriously. Go into it with a Zoolander mindset, and you'll enjoy it.
