I was watching HNIC on Sling TV but the feed died late in the third. Switched to Joe and Ralphie and enjoyed his call.

I'm not in State College. I've been working and living in Auburn NY for two years. BTW, I've never been in Pegula since before it was finished

Go to Cazenovia on the weekends for fun?

Man, that whole NY 20 stretch is brutal. That is tough living. Gotta remind you of the Golden Horseshoe.

Sobering but great interview with Eddie Olczyk on the Score just a few minutes ago.

Love him or loathe him (I think he's great with Doc), he's going through a tough deal right now.

Didn't realize these past couple of games that he did were between chemo treatments.

Is that why we’re getting Milbury on NBC broadcasts? Cancer truly is the greatest evil...

Wings and Athanasiou agree to 1 year, 1.387M deal.

Deal can't be completed until Detroit clears enough cap space. Possible trade, LTIR, or demotion to AHL coming.

AA still has to return from Switzerland, and get to Detroit, so probably early-mid week before he can skate with team anyways (Per Bobbo Mac).

The Rte. 20 roller coaster is fun in the winter -- done it a couple of times. Went to Hamilton last winter to call Auburn vs Caz HS hockey at Colgate -- that was an icy trip across the Thruway Good that I'd had years of practice on the QEW and 401.

Seriously indeed. First Bill Davidge, then Dave Strader and now Edzo. Bill looked great when I talked to him on Columbus last season. Mrs. P and I are praying for Eddie and his family.

I have probably driven a thousand hours on NY state highways in ice; maybe ten hours in white out. Like I said, tough living.

I find that rural snowbelt bleakness to be beautiful. I have fond memories of throwing a rod in Prebble, being snowed in in Central Bridge (an exurb of metropolitan Cobleskill), and Stewarts' root beer got me through three years, and the sick esprit du corps of the woodchucks of Onondaga County is a natural wonder (just stay clear of their fists).

I'm not going to like Arizona.

                                Detroit makes 2 trades.

Sheahan and a 2018 5th round pick to Pittsburgh. Scott Wilson and a 2018 3rd round to Detroit. (1.4xx cap savings)

Ryan Sproul to the Rangers for Matt Puemple. (No cap effect)

Gives them the cap space needed for AA.
