I remember hearing that (Spano story) for the first time from a guy in a hockey locker room and being in disbelief. And then I finally watched that ESPN 30 for 30 and was even in more disbelief. It's amazing how terribly the NHL is ran lol, it's like a garage league basically even in current times and it's hilarious to think that it was even moreso back then .

                      but not quite.

Actually, since I have almost zero vitriol for the Wild, I'd be okay with a Cup at some point or at least long before the Axe or another NCAA Title or a Super Bowl.

Never is too soon on the Super Bowl front.

Minnesota gets a Cup -- hell, three Cups -- when they wrest back the beautiful North Stars name and sweaters.

Until then they and their idiotic "Wild" name will get nothing and like it.

Yeah, well the North Stars were 0-2 in Cup chances too. Cups and Bowls are things I try not to think about. Hell, talking to fellow Minnesota fans about it only brings excuses so there is no point.

Axe and another NCAA title are way more likely than Cups and Bowls.

MN can win as many cups as they want when they get an owner who isn't one of the main proponents of locking out the NHL.
