UVM 5th? In what universe? Were we watching the same team last year? Maybe if they let them skate 7 or 8 at a time.. given the number of recruits that have that should be easy.

They also tied Quinnipiac a week before the SLU wins.

They're obviously going to "regress" from the spring in that they won't go unbeaten in 22 of 23 games. That's never sustainable..

I don't think any of us NU fans are expecting them to win the regular season title or anything, but if they don't finish in the top four I'd absolutely consider it a disappointment.

Just for the record, QPac had to score an EA goal in the waning moments of the game to tie Northeastern. After that frustrating draw, the Huskies realized the could play with the best teams and lost only once until they were paired with North Dakota in the NC$$ tournament .

Which northeastern team will we see? The one that got crushed early last year by the top of the conference or the one that played well in the hockey east tourney and beat up on the sisters of the poor in the second half of the season?

I feel like NU is in for a letdown, just like the first period and beyond against north dakota after entering the tourney as hot as anyone.

NU won HE on a Saturday. By rule could not practice until Monday and left for Cincinnati Wednesday and was the only team to have a lead on the well rested NDak team that rolled through every team including Michigan and Quinnipiac.

IF you are using the NDak game as a measuring stick then more teams than the Huskies had a "letdown".

All the conference tournaments end the same day and teams having to travel to a regional is nothing new. How exactly was north dakota well rested when they played on the Saturday you're talking about and it's a longer trip to Cincinnati from grand forks than boston?

Both michigan and denver were tied with und in the 3rd period, congrats to NU on having an early first period lead. Raise a banner. There is no shame in losing to und but the way it unraveled for nu after coming in so hot, i'd say it was disappointing.

NDak and Denver played a meaningless game to a boring 1-1 tie Saturday afternoon. I've seen House League games played with more enthusiasm. Meanwhile, NU played until 2AM Friday and until Midnight Saturday.

It's kinda funny seeing Northeastern taking so much flak on here. I've been waiting to answer this way for my entire Northeastern life: Scoreboard. When your team wins the title, one of the perks is you don't have to take crap from anyone, at least in the offseason. Oh yeah, that was nice, one more time. Scoreboard.

Yeah, that's not the way any of this works. Your title was good for last season and has little to no influence over predictions for this season.
