Just signed up for the One Chip Challenge.

        This should be interesting.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

The local news here did that. It did not go well. One of them horked on camera.

Saw that. The beer group I'm in decided to do a group challenge. Sure, let's go for it. I was fine with ghost sauce. Let's try the reaper.

If its so brutal, why not just eat a hand ful at once. Doesn't seem like there would be a difference in effect.

It would be an effect. Some of this stuff, if eaten in larger quantities, can burn a hole in your insides (literally). Many years ago, was at a restaurant in TX, and if you ordered a certain level of heat, you actually had to sign a waiver. I thought they were joking. Nope.

                          Buffalo chip?

Is this like the opposite of the Frito-Lays challenge from back in the 80s, rather than "I bet you can't eat just one," to "I bet you cant even eat just one?"

It is a barren wasteland, riddled with fire and ash and dust, the very air you breathe is a poisonous fume." Boromir

Carolina Reaper tortilla chip. The chip comes in a coffin case.

I've seen a few folks on YouTube do it, with predictable results.

There are 10 of us in the beer group I'm in that are going to do it. I One woman is honestly afraid of what's going to happen to her after she eats it (or tries to). A few non-participants REALLY want to see this happen in person; sounds like it might become a little event at one of our group-approved hangouts.
