I seem to be the bearer of repeated bad news in this thread .... check the first three hotels (Cal, Main Street, Fremont) from that website off the no resort fee list, all recently implemented $15/night fees.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Good point, but I was just trying to remind that the JAR is no longer home ice for the Bentley Falcons. :-)

The fees started up around 2011-2012. Caesars Entertainment properties were the last major Strip hotels to implement them, around 2013. They've progressively increased in price through the years from $15-20/night when they first started to now the most expensive is $45/night at Venetian/Palazzo. It's a fixed cost that allows the hotels to combat the third-party hotel booking sites taking some of their profits. The price you see through Priceline, Trivago, etc. does not include the resort fee. The hotel keeps 100% of that revenue as opposed to the percentage they pay to the third-party booker for the night's rate.
Current listings on Hotels.com for the weekend of the tourney: Harrah’s $61, Luxor $46, MGM $66, New York, NY $85, Excalibur $36. So even when you add the $35-40 per night resort fee, the rates are pretty reasonable. MGM & Ny, Ny are right next to the rink.

Just reserve now, because it's guaranteed to go up.

That explains my ignorance of them. I was last in Las Vegas in 2007 and that was in the Fremont area. In fact, that's why I missed the Frozen Four in St. Louis.

Yeesh... getting to the point where it'd be better to stay in Henderson.

Hooters Casino doesn't look too far away, and they typically have some of the better gaming rates if you're into that. Also, Silver Sevens (formerly Terrible's) is great for cheap eats.

Heard something about Clarkson and SLU up in Lake Placid, if they do this then I really hope the girls teams get a game in as well.

Was told this will be November 24th.

Link to this year's spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...Oa3mdIjMgeea8/

                          "Effectively complete"* schedules:

                          ECAC: Non-travel-partner conference schedule released
                          (None)

                          NCHC: Conference Schedule Released
                          Miami
                          Minnesota Duluth
                          North Dakota

                          * Effectively complete meaning the school has released the schedule, or enough alternate information has been reported to determine the schedule is complete, minus exhibition games. Discretion will be used to determine whether WCHA teams will be using their entire allotment.

Can't be, unless the Michigan Tech series is moving.
