They said it's been 19 years since the last Dodger Stadium rainout. I know the Angels had their first in 20+ seasons a year or two ago.

US beats Japan 2-1 with the help of a couple fielding errors. They'll take on undefeated Puerto Rico tonight at 9 on MLBN for the championship.

Didn't know how many he died in so I looked it up.

The Shootist (Killed in a gunfight)
The Cowboys (Killed by Bruce Dern)
The Alamo (Killed by Santa Anna's army)
The Sea Chase (Lost at sea, unknown if he was drowned or just got away)
Sands Of Iwo Jima (Killed by enemy sniper)
The Fighting Seabees (Killed while under enemy fire)
Wake of the Red Witch (Killed by giant squid)
Reap the Wild Wind (Drowns in wreckage)
Central Airport (He was a corpse)

They might not be including Liberty because he was dead at the beginning of the movie.

Then you've been watching the wrong movies. . "Sands of Iwo Jima" got Duke an Oscar nomination but he lost out to Broderick Crawford for "All the Kings Men".

The Shootist was his last movie where he portrayed an aging gunfighter dying of cancer. Also starred Ron Howard, Lauren Bacall, and Jimmy Stewart.

I despised Bruce Dern for years when he shot Wayne in the back in The Cowboys. All was forgiven when he did Coming Home.

Did Gary Bettman take over MLB?

Interest in the WBC seems low to begin with, but the US has made it to the Final.

Let's put it on ESPN, but in Spanish to show our respect for diversity!!!

Or to try and rope people into adding MLB Network to their TV package.

That got old quick. At first I had it on but muted. Now I'm watching Ducks/Oilers.

                        Press 1 for English

And no, MLB Network is not part of my sports tier.

I think MLBN is pretty standard on any of the "expanded" cable packages.

And ESPN has nothing to do with diversity, it's because they hold the Spanish language rights.

But it's been good baseball all month. Feel bad for everyone who ignored it.

Stroman with a no hitter though 6.

If you want to see the ignorant side of America, search "espn Spanish" on twitter and get a look at everyone who doesn't understand broadcast rights, can't read a bottom line telling them the game is in English on MLBN, and thinks it's somehow beneath them to have Spanish spoken on their TV.
