Re: Rep retirement lodge 193 — where should Mookie visit next?
Already at $275 for donations for the One Chip Challenge, and it's only been a day. Yeah. Changed it to 100% donations go to Toys For Tots, and the participants are donating bottles to the winner (good stuff). This is gonna be one of the best worst ideas ever.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

My suggestion - do it on an empty stomach, and don't watch any of the YouTube videos before you do it, or you'll just psych yourself out of it. I've seen full-blown tears, drenching sweats, vomiting, etc. Admittedly, those were people who had low capsaicin tolerance to begin with, but it's not uncommon to need to chug the majority of a half-gallon of milk to shake off the worst of it.

Yep, I have a strategery. Empty stomach, going to break the chip in half before basically slamming it in my mouth (no lip touching, hopefully no tip of the tongue touching), plugging my nose when I eat the chip (smell affects taste). I've had the ghost pepper before, with no ill effects; this is a different beast, but at least I have some experience in hot stuff.
That being said, I still don't know how my body will react to this. I will say I most likely will have many tears and sweat, after that....who knows?

My brother is flying home tonight. Flight lands in a half hour. Waiting for him to call me when his flight lands so i can go pick him up. And I’m starting to fall asleep. Hope his flight is on time! I told him i was going to pick him up in my pajamas.
