        I have to say i think the 24 team format has been pretty good so far. Not a huge fan of 3rd place teams making knockout round but the group stage has been good. No scoreless draws yet although i think that could happen here with ukraine-northern ireland.

          So I just read that if tonight's game is a draw after 90 minutes, they go straight to PKs without overtime. What the fark?

            interesting, looks like extra time will only occur in the final if it should be tied after 90 minutes...

            I see somewhere else that its normal for the Copa America to do things that way in the quarterfinals/semifinals.

              I've read that is normal Copa practice. Finals add the 30 minutes then shots.

              Look at the bright side - they didn't go to 7x7 OT then shots.

                Entertaining first two games today. Germany-Poland is looking good, too, even with no goals scored.

                Poland just had a Wondo-esque miss right in front of the goal. If Poland's #7 had a bigger nose, he would've scored.

                  Standard practice for CONMEBOL. It's also done in the Copa Libertadores.
