The advantages to Brown being a boring dump and chase trap team is that while there wasn't any sustained attack time in the third for RPI... Brown didn't really have any either save for one flurry late in the third. Just two teams dumping in, chasing after. Rinse, repeat.

RPIs timeout in the first was another "light a fire under the team" timeout as the power plays were spent dicking around, being cute and losing puck battles. These are the things you have to do with a young and very talented group, you have to tell them that sometimes the talent alone isn't going to let them coast.

Solid win though - time to get things done up north.

Agree on most points-but thought the RPI timeout was to rest some guys and get the lines back in order after almost 5 minutes of crazy penalty time-we seemed to be 5 on 3 forever.

I'll agree with you on this one. Especially in the third period, we seemed a bit antsy, and was leading to us being a little too aggressive and whiffing at our opportunities. Once we started to calm down and play our game, we did well.

Agree totally on this one. The Burgdoerfer penalty was one of the most obvious I've seen yet this season, to be quite honest. As soon as he did it I grabbed my head. We have a penchant for giving up goals on penalty kills where the penalty is blatant and stupid.
