Starting to smell like Colgate may be re-evaluating their girls hockey program. Chance that they are going the route of Niagara? If not, they sure are taking their time and are going to handicap the new coach in the recruiting process.
No need to panic yet. Last year, the new coach at Brown did not get hired until mid/late August. The team tripled their number of wins from the year before and made the playoffs for the first time in six years. It is more important to hire the right coach than to make a rushed decision.

Not sure if this is only for head coaches.

      But,

Chris MacKenzie Joins Ohio State Women's Hockey Staff as an assistant coach. Former Niagara head coach.

I think Scott Spencer has left as he's not listed.

That's great news about MacKenzie. He was too nice a guy to be forced out of hockey like he was. I wish him well.
...and whadaya know, it's another freshman...

Is the school really looking for posses, or someone who might possess certain skills?

Well, that would be an interesting combo -- women's ice hockey coach and men's golf coach. Maybe a former NHLer. Lol

Jill Campbell played 96 games for Bowdoin (29-43-72) and was a member of the Class of 2011. Congratulations Jill!!!

I know the news has already been posted here - I'm just providing the link to the Colgate announcement. And I thought it would be nice to congratulate the Colgate men on their first-ever win in the NCAA D1 lacrosse tourney on Sunday...at the expense of the UMass Minutemen (sorry Hux). Not too bad for school with an enrollment of 2800 students. Duke is up next Go Raiders!

Here's the link on Greg Fargo's hiring: http://www.gocolgateraiders.com/news...514122315.aspx
