Jen and I had seen Josh play about 6 times. He is really small-but still young. But you just notice him all the time on the ice. He just seems to be involved all the time and almost always in the right place so the puck just seems to find him. I would think he could make a very competant NCAA Division I player.

      Economics?
It certainly is a major there. Actually, I did a minor in Economics. I suspect he'll pair it with BMGT once he finds out the number of free electives he has, though.

Are we discussing simply because he's a NJ/Delbarton kid, or is RPI known to be pursuing?

I know that it is a major. There were even six listed getting BS's in Economics in my graduation program (1968). I used the smilies because of my surprise in seeing it.

            Because it wasn't BMGT?

Have never seen any representative from Troy at the games looking at him-but when they were there charting Melanson he certainly would be hard to miss. But very young and a long way off from college level play.

Engineering wouldn't have surprised me either.

I would be very surprised if when coaches went to games to look at a specific player they wouldn't have one eye open to other players.

Isn't that how we got Polacek?

Perhaps Commers is our diamond in the rough?

I am sure he has already been charted by several interested parties. We have yet to be to a Delbarton game where there wasn't at least a couple of well dressed people with laptops or tablets actively entering information. Most seem to be Ivy representatives (Yale and Princeton seem to be at every game). It sort of reminds us of the old days back in the 80's when we would have a number of scouts at every Brick High game-mostly during the Jim Dowd years and years later to see the 4 Acropolis kids. Melnick is still very raw but we did lock up Melanson at an early age and would hope we have shown some interest even at this stage already.

I was referring to Melnick, Melanson's teammate.

Except I doubt that Polacek was a walkon as Commers is. I do agree that he could be that.
