Heres a group shot of the Delbarton hockey team after winning the Gordon Cup this past Saturday. Melanson is #27 located just behind the goaltender on the left.

The NYSPHSAA hockey championships are in about 2 weeks in Utica. Does anyone know of any players we might want to look at?

Depends. Are you hoping to find guys that might play D-III?

That's what I suspected. Wasn't sure if there is any D-I talent in there or not.

I don't recall us having players from NY public schools in decades, at least not directly from one.

There always could be someone who would then go elsewhere.

Glenn Coupal and Jim Palmer were both listed from Seton Catholic HS in Plattsburgh, but IIRC Coupal did play some junior hockey. And of course, Palmer was a practice goalie.

                          Kasdorf's line is now 29-10-14-3-3.58-.891.

I suspect that coach wasn't too happy with Kasdorf's performance.
Tough duty coming off 4weeks on the pine... 2 3rd period goals for Waterloo. Hope he sees some more action.

On Wednesday, Gunnery Prep lost to the Phillips Exeter Big Red 2-0 in the quarterfinals of the Stuart/Corkery Tournament, thus ending their season. Jake Wood had no points.

                            His final line is 26-10-19-29-x

Being a senior, this was likely Wood's last game at The Gunnery. According to an interview from The Scouting News with Gunnery head coach Chris Baudo back in the fall, expect to see him show up someplace in the BCHL or USHL next season.

In three seasons with the Highlanders, he collected 27 goals, 47 assists for 74 points.

I figured that Seton Catholic was parochial, not public.
