Twitter feeds are congratulating Minnetonka High School junior Laura Bowman for committing to Penn State. Amy Petersen, another Minnetonka junior and Bowman's linemate, committed to Penn State earlier this year. Together, Bowman and Petersen won a state high school championship with Minnetonka this past season.

No maybe not many athletes go to Canada but I know the Canadian universities train a lot of MDS ( yes americans) to go the states to add insult to injury as you would say.

Exactly. "MDS" is incorrect. If you wanted to say "Doctors" then say so...even "MDs" would be fine. But to your original premise...it's bunk!
