    Exactly. Some portions of the formula help modern teams and some portions help older teams. Today, it's very rare that a team finishes over .800 on a season. BU and Notre Dame were the last two teams to do so, in 2008-2009, and it has only happened a handful of times in the past decade.

      Just curious, if as part of its overall record, a team also had a really good record one year against 'traditional powers' who in that particular year did not make the tournament, does that matter?

          No, that doesn't. Last year's Sioux squad was 32-9-3.

              Safe to say that the 84-85 Bulldogs (36-9-3, RS, LT, and NCAA 3rd place) might be the only UMD team on this list? The 2010-11 (26-10-6) version won the only trophy that matters, but finished fourth in league play and didn't make it past the WCHA PIG.
              How do they expect us to throw hotdogs at the gophers with that [Expletive deleted] net in front of us?

                  The 2010-2011 Bulldogs ranked 125th on my list.

                  As for Ferris State, we'll wait until after the end of the season to see where they land. If they go undefeated though, a good chance that the list will need to be updated.

                        I don't blame you. I would gladly trade our MacNaughton and Broadmoor from last year for your title.

                        I've submitted everything for #20, but it sounded like it wouldn't be up online for a few days.

                          FS23, did the 1988-89 Harvard team make your top 25?

                            Sounds like a pretty impressive resume to me.
                            While an impressive team, they finished just outside the top 25, at #30. Had they won their conference tournament they would have been in the top 20. When the entire list is published, I'll post the top 50 or so here with point values.
