    Re: Nescac 2011-2012

Very sad day for Trinity and the NESCAC faithful when they outshoot Nichols 43-10 and still manage to lose 3-2. Does anyone know if Pujol is injured??? Congratulations to goalie Gianformaggio, her team and Coach Angers and staff!!!

                    11/29
                    Hamilton over Utica

Bowdoin sweeps Colby-too much Polar Bear offense for the Mules (hopefully not those dreams in black and white, again).
Midd sweeps Trinity-looks like a looooooooooooooooooooong season for the Bantams
Amherst sweeps Wesleyan-I get to watch these games and only drive 26 miles each way!!!
Conn and Hamilton split-I want to go with a Conn sweep, but I need another shot of Kamel Koolaide
                    St. As over Williams
                    Williams over Sacred Heart

                      Colby wins one against Bowdoin

                      Amherst sweeps
                      conn sweeps hamilton
williams beats both ST a and Sacred Heart

You might deserve credit for this call, but the game started at 7.

                        Final: Utica 5 - Ham 3

I honestly didn't look or listen, I just sense that Ham is having a tough start for some reason and Utica has shown some early chops -- now lets see if Colby can steal a win against Bow and if Williams has stepped up too -- parity for NESCAC!

                            I wasn't being judgmental ...

But in fairness to Hamilton, "tough start"? They lost two relatively close games to Amherst (though the SOG count suggests the games were not as close as the scores), which appears to be very strong again this year. The Utica loss does suggest a tough start for them, though!

Saw Williams play, and they've got some talent. New coach and 8 freshmen, they may take a while before they show consistency.

The Colby - Bowdoin series will be interesting!

I watched the Hamilton/Utica game last night as well as the Amherst tilts. It is surprising that they are having a tough start with only 3 freshman. That is the core of the team is back from last season. They do have one of their high scorers injured; she has been out since the season started. In the three games that they have played, I see defensive breakdowns combined with a couple of soft goals in each game that take away their momentum.

So did anyone see either the Bowdoin-Colby, Midd-Trinity or the Hamilton-Conn game?
Was Wheeler injured during the 2nd period or just having an off night?
Can anyone explain: Williams beats Utica; Utica neats Hamilton; Hamilton shuts out Conn?
Nice to see Styrbicki and Melberg were in the lineup for Midd and that Greer is back on the ice; Jones is 9/10 and her saves % goes down to .977.
I watched a nice, workwoman-like 8-0 Lord Jeff win in Middletown. Amherst had some nice net play from Murphy when they needed it early and just keeps putting quality team players out shift after shift.
