Good academics - always good to see. Seems like a good pick up for insurance, perhaps he can make a push for a bigger role?

      More details about Prawdzik

From his prep coach, Dave Ries:

Max is a poised, competitive mentally tough kid. He's still raw...he has a lot of potential. Max was a big reason we won the Large School Championship this season. He's got great technique, moves pretty well and can handle the puck to start a breakout. Max needs to put on some muscle, add some explosiveness and adjust to the caliber of Hockey East. I'm excited for him for earning this opportunity and definitely think his best hockey is ahead of him.
Last NE Prep All-Star goalie to play for BU? John Curry, Taft.

USHL announced its rookie all-star teams. 2016 recruit Kiefer Bellows named Rookie of the Year and first team Rookie all-star, while Robert Carpenter named to 2nd team.

Kieffer Bellows (F), Sioux Falls Stampede

The 2014-15 USHL Rookie of the Year netted 33 goals over 58 games, setting a USHL Tier 1 era (2002-present) record for goals by a 16-year-old. He was 19th overall in the League in scoring with 52 points (33g, 19a). He went on to score nine goals in the playoffs, including four game-winners, to help the Stampede capture the Clark Cup. Interesting that the 7th leading scorer in USHL is on the second Rookie team?

My impression without doing much research is that there were a lot of good rookies this year. Bellows beat out Brock Boeser, the high-end prospect for this years draft, even though Boeser had 68 points, 17 more than Bellows.

                        Some details about Oettinger.

Before joining the NTDP U17s, he led Lakeville North to the Minnesota large school state championship game, only to lose to Edina with future teammate Kieffer Bellows scoring a pair of goals.

OTB reporting that Oettinger is now 6'4" and 200+ lbs.

The U18s will be at Agganis on Oct. 16 for an exhibition game, so BU fans will have a chance to see Bellows, newly committed goalie Jake Oettinger and Clayton Keller who led the U17s in scoring and was called up to the U18s for the World championships along with Oettinger.

Bellows was recently named USHL Rookie of the Year and set a record for most goals (33) by a 16 year old since the USHL became a Tier 1 league.

Rogie - I feel like there hasn't been much buzz about Sean MacTavish in quite a while. How did he do this season? Still due on Comm Ave this fall? What is his draft year?

Two seasons ago, MacTavish led the AJHL in scoring with 72 points in 60 games and was Waterloo’s first pick in the USHL Phase 2 draft. He suffered a pre-season back injury and never put things together in Waterloo (7 assists in 31 games). He was traded to Madison and then again to Lincoln, where things finally began to click for him (7 points in 14 games). He’s a late ’94 birthdate and so no longer eligible for the draft. Haven’t heard anything to suggest his plans have changed.
