Brandon Pirri: Turk would give it to Jagr. That's awesome! Jagr's untouchable. And he would give it to Jagr.

Looks like JDA is finally starting to get comfortable in the AHL. Should have stayed in school for one more year.
Brutlag has been an offensive surprise this season. I have a nephew who is close to the team and they are very happy with his performance.
It won't be long until Pirri is in the NHL for good. Just might not be with the Blackhawks, they are very deep at forward when healthy.
Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

This is making my choice of game for February 3rd very difficult... go to Crunch/Marlies, or watch RPI/Cornell on Versus (with WRPI calling it via internet, of course)...

For those who are stuck with Time Warner, they will be showing it on TWCS (at least in Syracuse it'll be channel 13, not sure if it's on channel 3 in Albany or not)

Appears the Skills Competition will be on at 4pm on Time Warner Channel 3, followed by the all-star game live at 7.

I've seen reruns of the skills competition on the schedule a few times (at least in my market, not sure about yours), so I'd say pick your poison. Of course it's probably because Palmieri is in there.

Peoria had reported on the 11th of January that Polacek suffered an upper body injury in practice, and he hasn't played since. This article (page 2) updated on the 19th mentions that he had his left arm in a sling during the recent weekend of home games.

JFK visiting a grade school with some Dayton Gems (CHL) team-mates........One of the first questions posed to the classes was one in reference to all of the Gems in attendance having gone to college, to which every student in the room indicated that it was their academic goal to follow suit. Kennedy, a graduate from RPI, told the assembly of his lifelong goals of becoming a professional hockey player and becoming an engineer, ultimately receiving an ovation when he revealed that he had completed both of those goals together in the past year. http://daytongems.net/?p=5024

Last night, the Crunch lost to the Marlies 5-2 (one ENG), but JD'A had an assist on Toronto's fourth goal, and missed on a couple of breakaway chances. He also thought he was a one-man show out there a few times.

Interestingly enough, Feola was a linesman for that game, and he can administer faceoffs about as well as Emanatian. For those who go to AHL games, he wears #33.

Allen York reassigned to Chicago (ECHL). In the 10 days he was with Springfield (AHL) he saw no games. IIRC, he hadn't seen any games in his previous stint w/Chicago for 4-5 games. Not seeing game action for 3 weeks (?) surely is a head scratcher for me. http://theahl.com/stats/transactions.php
