Luke was at Northeastern and was here in school last year. Kaib is a Providence transfer who spent last year in the USHL with Green Bay.

It's not the off season thread that was created, it's actually a four year old thread dug up from the depths of USCHO.

But I don't think anyone cares.

Luke is from Pinckney. Barrett from Pittsburgh. Both will be eligible first semester. You can find their career stats and more info for most players at hockeydb.com.

And a thread started by an annoying multi screen named individual whose best suggestions as a replacement head coach were D-III assistants and a first year video coach. Similar to the Truth sisters in the Soo

Jim Hiller is coaching in the WHL.

Another replacement might be Jeff Pyle. Coaching all over the minor leagues with no college experience.

Don Waddel a former GM of the Atlanta Thrashers. Dont know what he is doing now. A good hockey mind with NMU ties. Could be the AD at the same time as coach. Can run hockey programs.

Walt Kyle isnt going to be replaced any time soon. He is a pure hockey guy. NMU is lucky to have him return to the program.
Waddell is working with Pittsburgh. Talked to him for a while last month in Detroit. Pyle is a great guy, but 30 years removed from college hockey and takes over the ECHL Evansville Ice Men July 1. Hiller has a really good gig and is very well respected in NHL circles. Those points are moot however as you're right when you say Walt isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Nor should he. In his time at NMU, his record is 35 games better than his next closest nWCHA opponent and 50 better than the next after that.

I wish people would stop calling the WCHA the nWCHA.

It has been called the WCHA. For sixty something years keep it that way.

Hope to see WCHA fans at Mickys Diner two years when the WCHA Championship is in St Paul.
It is a new WCHA, especially to NMU fans since only Tech and Anchorage remain from our earlier stint. But you're on for Mickey's and maybe Great Waters too!

If Walt Kyle wasn't fired for bike-gate, he sure isn't going to be sent packing anytime soon.

There is much speculation about who the Truths may be, but none of the possibilities I've heard could even remotely be considered college hockey coaching material.

Players basically were using stolen bikes to get to practice. Not sure how many of them actually stole them though. I believe that they painted them as well.

                                Were the tires properly inflated?
