My original posts have nothing to do with Republicans or Democrats. It wasn't suggesting that either side is bad, both sides are bad, or that one side is worse than the other. I leave that up to you guys.

My point is this. I don't care if you are a Whig, a Democrat, a Republican, a Federalist, a Libertarian, a Socialist, a Communist or whatever other label you want to ascribe to a political party. The practice of a political party taking action or passing laws for it's political advantage is as old as politics itself. It undoubtedly goes back to the Roman Senate and beyond. It certainly isn't exclusive or unique to the U.S., a country in existence for less than 250 years.

Now, if you want to continue to get bent out of shape about it, by all means do so.
And yet, despite how commonplace you think this is, you have yet to cite a single example of Democrats doing anything like what the Republicans are doing in WI and MI. In terms of brazenly undemocratic legislation, this is even worse than gerrymandering. At least that's taking (excessive) advantage of power that voters have granted to you. In this case, the voters have just expressed a desire to take some power away from them. And their response is "Oh yeah? **** you".

The response you will get is, "that's not important".

But, if you ask me that's everything.

I don’t think she is an extremist in any way, but I was absolutely shocked when I read she was being nominated. Hopefully she does a great job though.

It weakens the statutory powers of the office of governor. Whoever holds that seat.
Quit fighting strawmen. You know exactly what I meant. They gave those powers to a Republican governor. Now that it's going to be a Democrat governor, they want to take those powers away again

Here's what you missing. The reality is that Republicans put their party before everything, everyone, always regardless of ethics - not the case with the Dems. This explains just about every single thing they do.

And they do so against the will of the people as America is an honest, liberal majority country but is saddled with a biased voting process and an unethical oligarch that cheats and steals to stay in power.

                              These are real differences.
