The past few years we have developed some pretty bad habits on the ice. Not the least of it is thinking we can stop opponents who are 6'2" and 215 pounds with a simple wave of a stick at them. This team out there against us is certainly not a top tier team yet they are beating us to pucks, blowing through some weak stick checking and keeping the puck in our zone for far too long. At least this period we had a few chances but overall, we do not get a good grade for tonight. BTW this season is now 10 periods old and we have only 2 goals to show for it (and none of those are by anyone on the ice or the bench for us tonight).

Thanks for the correction-8 it is. But i am sure you got the point. No one suited up for tonight has a goal. And after those same 8 operiods we have been badly out shot.

I actually am still in football mode. We are now 6-0 and with two relatively easy games coming up (but surely anything could happen with Rochester and SLU) we are almost a lock to be getting an NCAA bid. But that bid will totally depend on our overall record and if we can go undefeated at 9-0 we might not have to face one of those top 15 monster teams in the first round.

I'm not worried about being outshot. This isn't the old time game from the 70's; like they say in soccer, the V has inverted. We're generating plenty of turnovers, which are leading to some decent chances. Unfortunately they're doing the same, but we're keeping them out of harm's way.
