My guess is you never saw Winkin coach a game. Also probably forgot Standbrook.

I don't have any idea how he feels about hockey, and I'm not saying he was Vince Lombardi, but football was a complete dumpster-fire for years and he helped put Maine on the map.

As for today, it feels like a FF tilt. Biggest game for Maine sports in years.

          GO BLUE.

Ferguson looks like a disaster so far.

                      43-21-4 (.662) in games I attended over 4 years as a student
                      104-47-14 (.669) in that time
                      3x FROZEN FOUR

11-20-2 in games I've attended since. (2-2-1 under Red)

Receivers have had stone hands all day.

EWU came to play. Maine is plain flat...EWU used the turnovers and from there they ruled the 1st half...my biggest fear: EWU #3 is flat out a game-changer...he has done what they needed plus.... and he's there spark plug.

Yes. Which I why I asked if they would just stay out there after last week (and I understand the financial implications). The problem is they don't have much control over the seedings, because the conference is not rated highly enough. It's tough to go on the road two weeks in a row in the playoffs and win. They are just overmatched.

It's frustrating. We've seen the same thing for years in basketball with the mid-major conferences. Until the conference is ranked higher, you're relegated to a matchup against the highest seeds. So if you don't win, the conference maintains its low ranking. It's a Catch-22 and the only solution (which is long-term) is the eventual improvement of the conference, and now you're getting into scholarships. academics, admissions, etc. So unfortunately, it's tough for a team from the East to break through and win because the deck is sort of stacked against them.
