Does the "integrity of the game" count in preseason?

Turns out the NFL has defective balls. At least they didn't have to pay Ted Wells $5 mil to tell them what they wanted to hear.

Of course. I'll wait with eager anticipation of the NFL fining the Steelers $1,000,000, striping it of its 2019 First Round pick and a 2020 Fourth Round pick, and suspending Mason Rudolph four games.

@latimes: In the 18 months since the NFL concussion settlement went into effect, 113 Parkinson’s and 42 ALS claims were filed by former NFL players. Of those, 81 Parkinson’s and 30 ALS claims worth a combined $146.5 million either have been paid or approved. http://lat.ms/2nrkdAW

Wow - really feel sorry for the taxpayers in NFL cities.

What? You didn't think the OWNERS were going to pay for this, did you?

Can anyone explain why this is a good idea?

Free "beer" for Browns fans. That will end well, I'm sure.

Bud has already gotten their $$$ out of this advertising campaign... Their name is everywhere because of this... The only way this will backfire is if the whole city erupts into riots over the free ****-water and the city burns when they finally do win (totally plausible, BTW )

I'm picking Week 3 against the Jests for their win.

I don't know. They play the Bengals. Twice.

    Good decision: https://www.breitbart.com/sports/201...fl-broadcasts/

As much as the NFL has been politicized for the past few years, it's a step in the right direction to making showing the game about the game. Hopefully this will domino to zero politics.

They usually don't show the anthem anyway. It's a non-story.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

Still have a long way to go. NASCAR was best when you would turn on ESPN at 11:30 and the cars were in the warmup laps already. Trying to fill 3 hours of pregame for whatever sport leads talking about issues outside of the game itself. No different with 24 hour news channels.

Honestly, just start the broadcast 15 seconds before kickoff. Better for everyone involved.
