No, everything is not fine. Ok, yeah Hilary won the popular vote. Cool. She still lost the election and the Republicans still control the House and Senate. That kind of think isn’t going to get us anywhere.

You establishment Dems need to realize we’re in a war here. The Republicans want to completely destroy any liberal way of governance. We’ve got to fight back, not just try to build a consensus and play nice.
Minorities do not want extremism (almost none signed up for Sanders) and Trump is imploding just fine. 'War' means nothing if we don't take back the white house. Do not eff this up for us by putting up an unelectable candidate.

Ocasio literally just won a few weeks ago... and people like Eastman and others beat DCCC backed opponents despite getting zero help from the party and a fraction of the donations that the party backed person got. Maybe the party should stop ****ing up so badly in terms of who they fund seeing as they keep suffering embarrassing losses to progressives who have far less support and money on their side but are more or similarly popular?

Uh no. Sanders did great amongst younger minorities and not as well amongst older folks. If we want to live in the past and lose then sure they should do that.

        Ummm...

African-Americans have been sharply divided along age lines during the Democratic primary, with black voters under 30 narrowly favoring Sen. Bernie Sanders over Hillary Clinton, while older blacks overwhelmingly backed the former secretary of state.

Clinton has won more than 70 percent of the African-American vote in most of the states with a sizable black population that have held primaries or caucuses. Her advantage among African-Americans has been one of the most important factors in her delegate lead over Sanders.
He didnt do great...he did ok barely beating Clinton when it came to African Americans. (I believe Latinos was similar) Overall minorities favored her.

        Bernie lost for a reason...

No, he lost because he didn’t have appeal among mainline Democrats voting in primaries. It was always going to be an uphill battle trying to win where you depend on outsiders for votes, especially on a national level.

Where the Sanders supporters have gained ground since 2016 is at the local level setting themselves up to win House seats and such. Sanders may not have won the battle or the war even, but he’s winning the insurgency.

I was happy he at least ran for the Democratic nomination. I give him credit for that. If he had pulled a Nader, Trump would have won by a margin as impressive as he thinks it was. I do not agree with him continuing this "independent" label. I believe you go into one of the two parties and you build from within. That's what the right has done and look, it worked. The left votes green party, Nader, **** like that and it destroys the little power they have.

I do agree Bernie should join the party. He can do way more good that way especially in getting more Progressives and Democratic Socialists in office and creating the agenda.

No, he lost because he couldn't get any African Americans to vote for him. But it's not like they're a major demographic in the Democratic party or anything...

So it’s ok to spend money on commissions for non existent voter fraud but not ok to spend money to try and secure voting technology for the mid terms.
                        Of course.

Among voters 19-30 he had the black vote 52-47, so good might be more accurate than great. Idk what the breakdown is amongst other non white voters. Either way I acknowledge that he made mistakes and there wasn’t enough time to close the gap which was shortening towards the end.

And obviously Hillary did far better in the south, unfortunately they don’t vote for democrats in the general ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

House GOP decides not to renew election security funding.

Get ready for the GOP to hold Congress. Permanently.

                              Jason Lewis everyone.

“Does a woman now have the right to behave — and I know there’s a double standard between the way men chase women and running and running around — you know, I’m not going to get there, but you know what I’m talking about. But it used to be that women were held to a little bit of a higher standard,” said Lewis, while filling in for Rush Limbaugh. “We required modesty from women. Now, are we beyond those days where a woman can behave as a slut, but you can’t call her a slut?”
“One of the reasons that the Democrats love the quote unquote female issue is because they know women vote more liberally than men do. Now you could say in a very, very sexist, misogynistic way that, ‘Well, that’s because women just don’t understand money. They don’t understand, they’re, they don’t handle finances. They’re guided by emotion not reason. Why, that’s why they didn’t have the vote for a full century in the country,’ ” said Lewis, according to the tapes CNN obtained.
