Evening, Lodge. Aunt's in town for some horse show or something (she has been boarding horses for the past 20~ years or so). Mom asked me to meet them for lunch. Sure! First choice: a place that has gone steadily downhill for the last 2 decades. Um, there are better places. Then she suggested Applebee's. YOU'RE KILLING ME, SMALLS!
Told mom that I would find half a dozen places, in her neighborhood, that are 10x better. *sigh* parents.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.
