The right would prefer that world history end in 1750. Absolutism and oligarchy in perpetuity.

Interesting op ed today from the two leads of republicans for choice- they are leaving the gop because fiscal conservatism and denying birth control don’t jive together. Well duh.
They also claim the GOP downfall started in 1980.

Why didn't they leave in 1980? The writing has been on the wall since then.

And THIS is why we need to keep reporting the atrocities. Minds can be changed, even if it sometimes takes 38 years.
If you don't change the world today, how can it be any better tomorrow?

What point are you trying to make?

There were enough people against slavery in 1800 to end it, had the south not gotten the 3/5 rule for representation. And the country ended up going through a war to end the hell of slavery.

If it takes shaming people into understanding how horrible it is to take kids from their parents, so be it. Especially in the face of the "reasons" that it's being justified. If you really need to hear reasons that someone thinks it's ok to make a judgement, that's your problem, not mine. I see zero justification to take kids from their parents other than for the direct safety for the kids.

Look at the last post in the previous thread. Then get back to me.

Further proof the NYTimes sucks. Their constant need to print these "A Bio of A Trump Voter" stories ranks up there with CNN stories about how [insert speech here] is when Trump became Presidential.

You can report atrocities all you want. Armenia was a statistic as was Rawanda.
