Trump didn't do that. If your statement were entirely true, Clinton would have been facing Ted Cruz.

Mookie not sure he likes a return to machine politics. If voters choose this girl or that guy, so be it.

If one didn’t need to jump hopes to get ON the ballot this may actually work better... but so be it. Hilly can lose again

The official presidential portrait hung in the White House after Dump leaves should be an empty chair.

Quite apart from Bernie, I don't agree. Parties are tribal enough as it is. One of the few times they aren't is when somebody runs as an independent but seeks one or more party nominations to bolster her campaign, and/or when parties extend their nomination to the nominee of another party to strengthen both parties. Minor parties often do this to help them be relevant and to further their agenda. The Right to Life party used this strategy very effectively to pressure the GOP to commit to their positions.

I'd like to see nominations being used more to form coalitions, not less.

I understand being late to meetings is a "power move" in the business world because everyone is waiting on you; you become the focus of the meeting as you walk in (obviously late). But Christ man, seventeen goddammed minutes late? That's not being a d*ck businessman, that's just being a fu**ing toolbox.

@ddale8: Pool reporter says breakfast was scheduled to start at 8, Trudeau started speaking at 8:14, Trump arrived at 8:17.
He was just a minute and a half short of the missing Watergate tapes!

Every one of their trogs can vote and it won't matter if the Democrats can attract enough voters. And that will happen when Democrats stop feeling entitled to votes and start campaigning for what people really want.
