(Those interested can follow the link under "related coverage" to Meghan Agosta, "Law Enforcer," another more interesting than usual color piece. Discipline seems to be one of the constants here.)

That title probably goes to Thunstrom.
At the outset, we could hang with the dude...

I’m in no position to judge. “You’re paying me $7,000. I’m not moving to Minnesota” might have been a less contentious lead-in.

Any idea when the U18 info comes out? Heard at the rink the other day that it is expected sometime soon as they play in Japan in 5 weeks from Sunday...

Sadly I find myself becoming less and less interested in international hockey with each passing year. While I still enjoy watching the Olympics every 4 years, I honestly could care less any more about all the other events in between. Everyone knows who the two finalists are going to be in all those events. The rest of the teams seem to be getting weaker instead of stronger, or maybe it seems that way because we keep getting even better every year. College hockey is much more interesting to follow even though it is also quite predictable when it comes to who is going to make the NCAA tournament each year. At least there are far more teams that can challenge and potentially upset the top teams along the way, and that is just one of the reasons I think college hockey is the best and most enjoyable level of our sport.

Shelfit I agree with a lot of this, although I still enjoy the international hockey in general. I think the need for one pro league that allows that overflow of great Canadians and Americans a spot to play and compete is needed now more than ever. I’d rather watch the best players full stop than the best of each nation at this point. Also to give a chance to the stars of the European teams to actually have a chance to play in an evenly matched game post college.

If US separates itself from Canada talent wise the greatest international games may become the semi final as Canada fights for that second spot in the final. I don’t know that we are there yet, but the thought has crossed my mind.

I can certainly enjoy what we have now, but it’s not hard to look at it and see some glaring issues.

I think after seeing her bust out 7 pull-ups with a 45 pound weight strapped around her waist, they didn't want to mess with her!
