Worked well so far. The attention spam gambit only works if there is only one or two bits of news. Every day we find out more about the story. The Lewinsky scandal proved sex keeps these things in the news way longer than they should be.

All I know is that if she fended him off using her keys, as the story claims, she must have a key ring that looks like Jimmy the Janitorís from my old high school. That boy took a beating.

You just described every relationship ever until the Women's Lib movement.

Giuliani is "permanently resigning" from his law firm (read: got fired) to focus on the Special Counsel's investigation.

Rudy hasn't been a real lawyer in about 30 years. John Oliver's people completely nailed him.

Wonder why so many 'innocent" people want an investigation of them to end?

Yeah, for the life of me I can't figure out why anyone would ever object to an investigation of them. Having the feds require you to produce records and documents; friends, relatives and business associates questioned about your activities by law enforcement; demands that you come in and answer questions under oath; news media, friends and neighbors speculating about what you might have done wrong.

I think people should just take it as a sign that someone cares.
That community is already in the process of dissolution where each man begins to eye his neighbor as a possible enemy, where non-conformity with the accepted creed, political as well as religious, is a mark of disaffection; where denunciation, without specification or backing, takes the place of evidence; where orthodoxy chokes freedom of dissent; where faith in the eventual supremacy of reason has become so timid that we dare not enter our convictions in the open lists, to win or lose.

Didn't really know the extent of his sleazy background.

Wiki: On December 8, 1980, one month after the election of Ronald Reagan brought Republicans back to power in Washington, he switched his party affiliation to Republican. Giuliani later said the switches were because he found Democratic policies "naÔve". Giuliani's mother maintained in 1988 that he only became a Republican after he began to get all these jobs from them.

Giuliani was U.S. Attorney until January 1989, resigning as the Reagan administration ended. He garnered criticism until he left office for his handling of cases, and was accused of prosecuting cases to further his political ambitions.

Giuliani first ran for New York City Mayor in 1989, attempting to unseat three-term incumbent Ed Koch, in a campaign marked by claims that Giuliani was not a true Republican and by an acrimonious debate. In the general election, Giuliani ran as the fusion candidate of both the Republican and Liberal Parties.

Four years after he was beaten by Dinkins, Giuliani again ran for mayor. Once again, Giuliani also ran on the Liberal Party line but not the Conservative Party line, which ran activist George Marlin. In 1997, Giuliani once again had the Liberal Party and not the Conservative Party listing.

His life was riddled with divorces and affairs. And in May 1999 while still married to Hanover, Giuliani met Judith Nathan, a sales manager for a pharmaceutical company, at Club Macanudo, an Upper East Side cigar bar. To keep his relationship with Nathan from public scrutiny, beginning in summer 1999 Giuliani had the costs for his NYPD security detail charged to obscure city agencies. In early 2000, Nathan began getting city-provided chauffeur services from the police department.

Somehow he became Mayor of New York City. I couldn't say why. Then he had his 9/11 moment. Other than that the man is pure drip slime.

He won his election with the tough on crime platform, at a time when NYC was turning into a cesspool. The tactics he employed, however, were not, shall we say, very gracious to everyone equally.
