I don't shave my face at all for my month off the boat, since I'm required to every 1-2 days at work. It feels weird to shave it after a single month for me.
It still feels weird this morning. Feels good, though.
Mornin’ y’all. Happy Friday.
Heading to the lake late this afternoon for the first time this year. I can’t wait. Kind of a crappy forecast for tomorrow, but this evening and Sunday look beautiful.
I am in trouble now, I new ice cream shop (kiosk) opened on Memorial Day weekend on my usual bike route home about a mile from home. https://***********/SWSodaPopShop
ALL the rain tomorrow for the local brewery's block party. Wonderful. They already have a giant tent up in the parking lot, but I fear that everything else will not be happening (Bags tournament, some sickos call it Cornhole, the live music, etc). The ONE day of week it's raining, and it's this one.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

Good morning Lodge. Still exhausted from being on my feet for 10 hours yesterday. Worked at our church’s annual festival last night. Planning to go back again today. I was in the food line. We were all a little worried that the faction of former parishioners who left the church last summer to protest the firing of our priest were going to cause a scene. We did hear that they reached out to the Board of Selectmen to ask about staging a protest outside the festival. On Friday, the second day of the Festival. When you need at least 48 hours to file all the paperwork. They asked what would happen if they showed up and were told they would be arrested.
This group has been awful, posting on many local town Facebook communities calling for a boycott of the Festival. They must be stewing, because the Opening night GyroFest had more people Thursday than last year. One of our parishioners got the Festival listed on the top 100 things to do this summer on Boston’s NBC affiliate’s website. The Archbishop (covers all of the US) sent the church a well wishes letter. He never does that. And by the size of the crowd last night, they’re calls for a boycott have fallen on deaf ears. I’m still leery that they might try something tonight, normally our biggest night.
Off to go get a big breakfast to fortify myself! Opa!
