Succession is getting better and better. It started out as just a funny but stupid chest thumper, but it's built very good, complex characters quickly and the acting is excellent. If you like moral ambiguity and you like characters who do not at all fit into white hats vs black hats, it's good. If you like nice clean moral resolution, do not go near it. It will either bore, anger, or deeply confuse you.

My wife has no interest in the show, but I keep watching it. It's actually pretty funny, apparently in ways that escape my wife.
That community is already in the process of dissolution where each man begins to eye his neighbor as a possible enemy, where non-conformity with the accepted creed, political as well as religious, is a mark of disaffection; where denunciation, without specification or backing, takes the place of evidence; where orthodoxy chokes freedom of dissent; where faith in the eventual supremacy of reason has become so timid that we dare not enter our convictions in the open lists, to win or lose.

Seems legit. Hopefully she didn't get paid. As I understand it, that was one of the conditions for the producers or some of the staff before they would agree to it.

Queen of the South starts season 3 tonight on USA.
Thought about ordering the show off of Amazon, but IIRC, it was $25 for SD. Nope. I'll wait until Netflix gets it (they have the first 2 seasons on streaming right now). Really like the show.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

The after part of the original The Staircase is bizarre. Coincidental setbacks, the counters by the defense, the admittance of the court concerning the DA (specifically the prosecution as a whole)....wow. 2 eps left.
IMO, the difference between this and Making Of A Murderer, was that MOAM was focusing on the police side, and Staircase is showing the lawyers' presentations, how they approach this. Both equally intriguing, in different ways.

Gonna white it out, but three things really struck me:
1. The possible fire/smoke thing, while Rudolf was preparing his first defense
2. The bomb threat
3. The second defense attorney having a stroke
I mean, come ON! You can't even make that up.

IMO, I don't think he did it, but obviously the documentary made it lean that way. I would feel confident on "reasonable doubt" for sure.

Agree with all of the above.
Have you read the owl theory??
Just what I saw in the doc, and that is just bizarre. Thank you for reminding me about it, I will read into it. That was one part of the doc that kind of went nowhere, along with Margaret's (or was it Martha's?) video reviews of where the blow poke was...
