Re: UVM 2018 Offseason - A Punch to the Gutt
posted in other thread but Colton is definately a goner no way he stays already 21 would kill off his stock to Tampa right now he needs to be in a pro setting so that's your leading scorer will Alvaro and Esposito have the famous Sneddon dip as in next year they never get time or their production go way now?
but lets play the betting game on who checks out/gets the boot/run out/leaves/transfer - got 2-1 odds on Misely at this point never know if can say disappointment or thats on coaching

Best is graduating early so he's likely gonehttps://twitter.com/TheVTHockeyBlog

Furthermore signing with Tampa just means he can take a 2 way contract and play next season in the AHL which whats better for his development another year on a likely bad college team or at 22 getting in with peer prospects along with a mix of older veterans in a better league? does not matter what Tampa needs they will sign him to the AHL tomorrow if they wanted.

Unless he comes back one more season and in that case he needs to score at least 30+ points and given that this is a bad team already and we saw all the work he had to do to even keep this team in games all by himself thats unlikely and hurts his long term career prospect he will def consider leaving and frankly should if not there is no way he'd stay for senior season he can't afford to do that because he will likely lose draft right status and leaving a lot of money on the table! Ross must thing about his future and the longer he is at UVM given his age and the team makeup the more that does not help him!

Seriously, I think he may stay one more year.
