I imagine there will at least be some unofficial discussions among coaches. Not sure to what extent, if any, the topic will come up in the official meetings this year. Now that Arizona State finally has some fairly solid plans for a new arena, at a minimum that will mean the subject of what league to put them in will need to be decided before too much longer.

It was a few days ago, but fall signee Pierre-Luc Veillette's Ottawa Jr. Senators (CCHL) are moving on to the Fred Page Cup. Don't know if anybody else is still going in the Canadian leagues.

Owen Guy is also playing for Ottawa.

It's been a few days too, but former Laker Captain Domenic Monardo, who is currently playing for Bolzano HC in the Austrian league, won their championship game. Monardo scored the opening goal of the game.

According to BGDrew on the 2018-19 schedules thread, the WCHA schedules will be released on May 9th.

Sounds about right. There likely is some juggling of tentative schedules/dates going on at the coaches meeting in Naples this week. I think the coaches use the meeting to firm up/finalize their schedules.

I believe we have a commitment from this kid, Che Landikusic. He played most of this past season for Darrin Madeley at Lake Forest Academy and then finished up the season for Austin of the NAHL. There is a reference to his having committed to the Lakers at the NAHL/Austin web site. He's a 2000 birth date so he's probably 2-3 seasons away from the Lakers.

Matt McArdle won't be back with the Lakers this coming season. He will get his degree from LSSU this summer. He could still play college hockey somewhere else for a season while pursuing a graduate degree (he has a year of eligibility left).

It sounds like Denver will be making a trip to the Soo sometime in the next few years to play the Lakers. Nothing firm yet as to year/dates.
With Montgomery leaving Denver, I doubt they will make a trip to the Sault now.

Captains were announced for next season at the BlueLiners Banquet on Thursday: Cuglietta and Torrel will be co-captains, while Nellis and Saccoman will don the A.

Not many. A few are regular callups (Olesky, Trotman, Czuchman), but I don't think there are any that are solidly on an NHL roster right now.
