  • Re: Travel Part 3: Destination Unknown

Delta has a fare sale, supposedly. 48,000 miles round trip to many European cities. Sale ends tomorrow. Travel either in the fall, or next winter.
Having a clear conscience just means you have a bad memory or you had a boring weekend.

I just found it less convenient and less organized than schipol, which I love.

I mean it's big but I've been to worse airports. It connects to the RER and gets you in to Paris easily (assuming no train strikes). I hear Orly is smaller which might be one's cup of tea,

It’s just a layover I was looking at. Was curious if it was notorious for missed flights or something like that which I would be looking to avoid.

I flew into and out of CDG once, back in 2000. It was great for getting onto my flight quickly - showing up late to the airport, but getting my bags checked and boarding myself in a very short time and making it onto my flight before scheduled takeoff. It was disappointed to be stuck on the tarmac for almost 3 hours after that due to unexplained reasons.

For the excursion to Thailand we so far have a planned river raft trip, snorkeling, a train ride to the mountains and some charity work with a local orphanage. Can't wait!
