I doubt if Beags will retire. I read an article stating he may be let go due to the salary cap and the team being able to keep higher profile players like Carlson. Beags sort of insinuated he would stay in Washington even if he didn't make as much money because it was his family and he couldn't imagine playing anywhere else. Didn't sound like the thoughts of a guy with retirement on his mind.

    From ADN:

"According to NCAA, the (UAF) hockey team used ineligible players in every game played from the 2007-08 season to the 2010-11 season. Over that span, the wins and ties will all become losses. 4 wins and 2 ties came against rival UAA".

    UAF is 56-86-12 vs. UAA.

Beagle is a free agent and only 32. He’s not retiring.

He is a fourth line center on the wrong side of 30, forwards start declining pretty rapidly.

Except I feel like he's improving each season, not declining at all.

    For your listening pleasure.

Blue Line Hockey Club Podcast (I think these guys are based out of upstate NY) interview with new UAA Assistant Mark Phalon.

Hmmm. I didn't hear anything about or from Phalon? Where in the audio is he speaking?

They get right to it. So really no need to fast forward.

Has anyone heard if Butcher was granted an additional year of eligibility? I am assuming with the new rules adopted this season, he will get it. I sure hope so, the team really needs him.

    Roster check........
    Alaska Dispatch .... Doyle Woody
UAF made the kind of hockey history on October 10th 2015 that no team wants to claim – the Nanooks became the first NCAA Division I victim of Arizona State.
