And, another dream team on ice:

Enjoyed reading these two. Here's another that I found very interesting:

Coin toss. But if I had to bet I’d bet on Americans. They’re due. Law of averages. Too many world championship wins with largely the same group to not crack through sometime in these 12 years.

Maine Hockey: I want to believe
        43-21-4 (.662) in games I attended over 4 years as a student
        104-47-14 (.669) in that time
        3x FROZEN FOUR

11-20-2 in games I've attended since. (2-2-1 under Red)

(Having said that I agree, this is a coin toss and was always going to be a coin toss)

So true though. As much they're due and they should win you got that voice that says well then why haven't they? Dumb luck and bad bounces in the Olympics and good bounces at Worlds by pure happenstance? Or is there something off with how the team's been constructed? Who knows, that's why its worth watching I suppose

Looney, yet somehow makes cents. I'll have to ponder this one.

                        And who can forget.

The Canadian ice making team at the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics made sure to leave their mark in the ice of the E Center rink. The Edmonton Oilers' ice specialists, responsible for ice making, embedded a Canadian Looney in the ice at center ice to signify that it is 'Canadian ice' and for luck.

Following the games Wayne Gretzky dug up the coin and gave it to the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Yep BoSox. I want to believe, but..... Maybe if "Big Papi" was at the game cheering them on and shouting USA! USA!?

Which version of Big Papi? The legendary Boston slugger, or the singles-hitting Twins DH?
