      What's the more interesting scenario?
-- Watching the NFL fail because of their callousness over concussion issues and team prescribed performance enhancing substances?
      Or,
-- Watching the NFL fail because the WFL anti-trust litigation had a different outcome and Donald Trump becomes an NFL team owner (and he ultimately goes down with his ship)?

And the Republic is saved again!

WFL? Do you mean USFL? The $1 League?
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

          ■ The receiving team must have eight of its 11 players within 25 yards of the line of scrimmage.

          ■ No blocking within 15 yards of the line of scrimmage.

          ■ No wedge blocks by the receiving team.
Rule changes approved plus, "Kickoff team must have five men lined up on either side of the ball". Not sure how that's gonna work on an onside kick.

I don't think OSK would change at all.

For that matter, just make all KOs onside from the 50 and be done with it.

If I read the rule changes correctly, I think it completely takes away the onside kick. Correct me if I'm misinterpreting these rule changes.

You are. Teams just can't put all their men on one side of the ball, thereby increasing their chances of recovery. Likewise, the receiving team can't take out the kicking team players by forming a wedge, thereby making it easier for their man to get the ball.

And guys on the kicking team, have to be lined up on the line, no "ten yards back and get a head of steam going before they pile into the receiving team's wedge.

Should make onside kicks a bit more of a crapshoot who recovers, and make them a bit safer as well.

Yes, if Mr. New Jersey General himself bagged a judgment against the NFL that led to some WFL teams being awarded membership? Could you imagine Trump in the NFL? High entertainment potential without the chance he could blow up the world!

The WFL and USFL had completely different timelines. The US Courts ruled against the NFL in the USFL's suit against the NFL in the 80s, and the WFL was acting as a major-minor league for the NFL that started in the 90s, was failing in the US, at the same time having a London team, and the teams then either relocated to Europe or folded entirely. Those teams that relocated to European cities eventually folded too.

What was the name of the league setup in the 90s? It played outside of the NFL season, and had some NFL participation in its formation, I thought.
