Having compared recruit lists over the years i had mentioned that we look very small for the future. But forgot to mention we also look very non-Canadian.

It's about the mix. Size , skill and hopefully lots of both. Several recruits are in 5'11 range and will likely be at 6'0 or above when they arrive.

Add in the current freshman and late arrival forwards are: 6'1", 6''4", 6'1", 6'2", 6'3", 5'10", 5'10", 5'11". As someone else said recently, all you need is one big body on a line to create space on the ice for the skill guys. Jerry and a Burke have been doing a nice job of that. I thought Whiffen also played an improved physical game over the weekend.

If anything I think Smitty has done a real nice job adding size in a very small period of time. I have no doubt he'll keep this up.

I have noticed that too. Smith, although Canadian, seems to recruit less in Canada than the American Appert. It could be a temporary thing.

FWIW, you appear to have included Harris, a D. As to recruits growing, so many will be 24-year-old freshmen that they won't grow much. OTOH, if you don't include Stout and E. Ohrvall, both Appert recruits, that would eliminate the two 5'10" players. Please move any discussion of current players to the main thread.

Doc mentioned the "future". The freshman are an integral component to the future of the program - its an inevitable overlap between the main thread and the recruit thread RB .
