Nope, not the least little bit narcissistic.

From NY Mag: "Confused Trump Tricked by Fox News Into Opposing His Own Surveillance Bill."

During his morning Executive Time, President Trump took a well-deserved break from his long hours of document study to watch Fox News. The segment featured one of the talking heads urging Trump to oppose the House bill reauthorizing the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA). The president immediately tweeted out his alarmed confusion that the House was apparently on the verge of approving the very law the sinister Deep State had used to “tapp” his phones:

    Donald J. Trump✔ @realDonaldTrump:

“House votes on controversial FISA ACT today.” This is the act that may have been used, with the help of the discredited and phony Dossier, to so badly surveil and abuse the Trump Campaign by the previous administration and others?

    6:33 AM - Jan 11, 2018

Why, yes, it is that bill. Ideally, Trump would be posing questions like this to his own advisers, rather than to the entire world. The president’s alarm was unfortunate, since the Trump administration strongly supports reauthorization of this law. It has sent its highest-ranking security officials to lobby Congress for reauthorization, and reiterated its endorsement of the law as recently as last night.

Nope, it's pretty well known that Trump's the result of watching too much FOX News.
From Politico: I’ve Studied the Trump-Fox Feedback Loop for Months. It’s Crazier Than You Think.

Everyone has a theory about Trump’s hyperaggressive early morning tweetstorms. Some think they are a deliberate ploy the president uses to distract the press from his administration’s potential weaknesses, or to frame the public debate to his liking. Others warn his rapid shifts from one topic to another indicate mental instability.

But my many hours following the president’s tweets for Media Matters for America, the progressive media watchdog organization, have convinced me the truth is often much simpler: The president is just live-tweeting Fox, particularly the network’s Trump-loving morning show, Fox & Friends.
But here’s what is shocking: After comparing the president’s tweets with Fox's coverage every day since October, I can tell you that the Fox-Trump feedback loop is happening far more often than you think. There is no strategy to Trump’s Twitter feed; he is not trying to distract the media. He is being distracted. He darts with quark-like speed from topic to topic in his tweets because that’s how cable news works.

Here’s what’s also shocking: A man with unparalleled access to the world’s most powerful information-gathering machine, with an intelligence budget estimated at $73 billion last year, prefers to rely on conservative cable news hosts to understand current events.
Sometimes the president’s tweets don’t correspond to cable news coverage—his boasting about the economy, for example, is usually untethered from the news cycle. Other times, they echo cable news explicitly. For example, Trump might identify a guest who was just on Fox & Friends, quote from a caption that appears on the screen, or even tag the program’s Twitter handle, making my task easier.

And sometimes the tweets fall into a gray area, covering the same broad topic as Fox’s programming but without any specific identifiers. Then I need to fall back on inference, and in those cases, it helps when Trump has tweeted several times over the morning. Do the topics of a series of tweets match the order Fox discussed them? Does one tweet in a series have a strong tie to the network, suggesting that the other tweets were also reactions to Fox?
And yes, he shows his homework proving that the President of the Free World is basically live Tweeting AM TV.

Our leader, grounded in his Faith, with clear vision for his policy, playing eight dimensional chess in an effort to drain the swamp... is truly no more educated than your mother trying to explain to you that segment you should totally watch that happened during Hoda and Kathy Lee this morning.

Um, aparch, he attributes F&F, often.
This "he watches Fox News for breakfast" was not a revelation to you I hope. (I'm happy he watches ANY news and just doesn't "Don Adam" it all.)

It's not, hence my it's pretty well known. The continued belief by his supporters / detractors that all his Tweeting is some master plan / evil diabolical masquerade (respectively) is hilarious.

Take a step back. Everyone. And realize that Fox and Friends is guiding this country. Not some über-faux-genius brilliance emanating from the man who declared bankruptcy of a fu**ing casino.

Also, that Don Adam clip is hilarious. It makes me laugh every time I watch it.

Dare I call his Tweeting an unplanned master plan?

Every time he Tweets the media and his detractor go full uproar, the knickers twist, the blood pressure spikes; they can not look away from the Tweet.

The Tweeting is a magnificent distraction from what else he may be doing.

So what's going on in the magician's* other hand?

You dare call it that all the time. Which says a whole lot more about you than the tweets.

Not much for reading comprehension are you. Explains a lot

Or do you think Faux trolled him...cause that isnt what happened though I would give them credit for it.

Here, let me break it down for you like a 5 year old:

Trump Administration supports re-upping FISA. (Trump has no idea what any of this is, in fact I doubt they told him)
Faux talks about it and how it is controversial
Trump sees that and agrees cause he agrees with everything they say (then brings out the fake Obama tapping you still think happened)
Trump is then reminded his people support the bill

Notice how everyone else seems to get it but you and Flaggy? This should give you pause

No. You keep spouting this but you keep getting proven wrong. The magician analogy only works if he tries to hide what he is doing with the other hand. He doesnt, he talks about it openly. That you continue to miss this means you either arent paying attention or you really dont know what magicians do.

He isnt the savant you think he is...

Watching Fox and Friends and watching no news are not mutually exclusive.

While Trump's Tweeting, somehow drilling ANWR got through in the new tax bill with barely an audible sound.

Trump is fronting the band. Percussion and bass are driving the tune. Who's on percussion and bass is the question.

It wasn't Trump's tweeting that caused the expansion of drilling to get less coverage (though your characterization of "barely an audible sound" is inaccurate), it was the rest of the tax bill--you know, stealing from our kids to fund a giveaway to corporations that have never been more profitable.

So, the United States (us) is going to charge a hell of a lot of money for these idiots to pollute the Oceans and ANWR with their oil **** right? To even get the permit they have to pay us Trillions of dollars? And that money can go directly to paying off the debt right?

Or did the great negotiator blow that?

Plus the fact that they were still writing, adding and removing things, right up until they voted on it.

But you know, Obamacare was wrong because it was passed by the Democrats in secret.

the truly funny thing about it is no one was stopping them from drilling offshore in the first place. The oil companies hold leases on dozens, or even hundreds, of offshore drilling sites that they've chosen not to drill on. Either too expensive to drill, or they can make more money drilling elsewhere.

That was just one ****ty part of a bill full of ****. I wrote plenty of letters to Susan Collins explaining various reasons why she should oppose the tax bill. When it became clear she was going to support it, I wrote to her about ANWR:

Thank you for contacting me regarding protections for the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and your opposition to any plan to allow drilling in this area. As a supporter of the Refuge, I appreciate hearing from you.

I have voted to protect the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge from drilling on numerous occasions in the past. During consideration of the budget, I was the only Republican to vote for an amendment to stop drilling in the Refuge from ever being part of the tax reform bill. And, during floor consideration of the tax reform bill, I again was the only Republican to vote to strip it. Unfortunately, these attempts failed to garner sufficient support and the provision remained in the final bill.

I will continue to support protections for the environment and wildlife and efforts to preserve our national parks, wildlife refuges, and national forests for enjoyment by the American people.
so even though she was a self-proclaimed "supporter of the Refuge", she was willing to put that aside so the wealthy could get their precious tax break. And of course she didn't respond to me until AFTER she had already voted for the bill.
