You're right, people never should have had to choose between Trump and Hillary. Thank you, Republican primary voters.

And since you still haven't grasped the point I was trying to make, yes, I'm calling you lazy and unintelligent. Too lazy to even vote or learn the issues, and we can all see your intelligence right here.

Again, if Hillary voters aren't ordinary people, than what are they?
What kind of cheese are you planning to put on top?

If you go back and read again, I'm pretty sure Drew was referring to voters who aren't part of the Democratic Party brass. Which would be the vast majority of people who voted in the primaries.

So, I'm not an ordinary person. Interesting.

I’m referring more to the fact that Biden and likely others were discouraged from running.

Biden was grieving; he gets the benefit of the doubt on being "pressured" not to run.

Not sure who else you're thinking of. More likely a case of any serious challengers not feeling like taking on Hillary. You could argue that was a mistake, given that she was handily defeated by Obama in 2008, and then nearly defeated by a 74 year-old cranky, male, Jewish socialist in 2016, but by the time anyone knew it would be that close, it was too late to enter the race.

Probably but it ultimately doesn't matter, they can run if they want to. I don't think the primaries were rigged in such a way that it guaranteed her victory or whatever, I just don't think (even as a Bernie supporter) that she had much competition that go around. The bigger issue with the DWS stuff was how it affected the state level races down the ballot.

Maybe Deval Patrick? I would assume anyone who put out feelers was strongly discouraged from running.

It all still seems beside the point to me. Whether or not "Flyover people are not real Americans" or "Hillary voters are not real Americans", Trump has not earned our devotion by virtue of having an impressive title. He is our servant. He is not an emperor. We can criticize, object, protest, and remove him from his posting if he shows himself incapable of serving us as a conscientious servant. He has shown himself to be incapable by repeatedly jeopardizing our well-being in order to feed his petty vanity. Why would anyone still support him keeping the job (besides the knuckleheads in congress who are clearly motivated by their own greed for $$$power$$$; you guys on here don't have anything tangible invested). He is the servant of the public. But he hasn't even started on fulfilling that duty. It's been a year.
I guess I don't expect an answer. I've been asking people why they still stick up for him keeping an important job which he can't actually do at all, and the answer has come down to "but Hillary..." as if that has anything to do with it.

This headline from the Hill might be the first time I agree with dump on something:

“House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy instructed an aide to sort through Starbursts to pick out only the red and pink versions of the candy — President Trump's favorite flavors of Starbursts — and then had the candy delivered to Trump as a gift.”

Yellow and orange starburst are worthless
