    I used to somewhat root for Boston sports teams (read: Red Sox pre-2005; Patriots pre-2002) if my teams were eliminated. They seemed like good franchise that deserved a championship. Boy was I wrong.
    I really liked the Red Sox and Bruins for their tradition and pluck when I moved to Boston in 1988. By the time I left in 1995 the people disgusted me so much I wanted nothing but losses for them for eternity.
