There's an example of what I was discussing with my 25-year-old daughter yesterday. Sometimes people die who played only a very minor part in your life but whose death means something because it is a piece of an old puzzle that falls to the floor and leaves the picture less complete. And the sound of another piece hitting the floor reminds us that we are losing that picture.

Sue Grafton. Author of 25 books starting with “A Is For Alabi”, ending with “Y is for Yesterday”. I had the last book on hold at the local library for 3 months and got it yesterday. Really great writer.

”Y” came out late summer or so. The Southern Wisconsin Library system has about 60 copies, and there is still a 3 month wait.

Successor's name has the same cadence, so Broadway won't have to mess around with the "I Believe" lyrics for now.

Isn't the Mormon Politburo just an inbred crime family of direct lineal descendants of the original child-bride-raping pervs?

Yes and no. There were a lot of leadership purges in the early years before the move from the Midwest to Utah, and a few more after the 1890 and 1901 Manifestos. There were 3 or 4 claimants to the Presidency after Joseph Smith was killed, and over the course of about two years, Brigham Young played a bit of political chess to win over the majority of the flock - not bad for a guy who could barely spell his own name. There were even divisions within Smith's surviving family on following Young, with his first wife and their children pretty much being disgusted with him.

Being over a century into the current rules, I doubt the inbreeding is as bad nowadays, but a majority of them can probably trace back to at least one of Smith, Young, Kimball, Hyde, Pratt, Taylor, or Woodruff.
