Mookie’s bu roomie got ****ed when sid Fernandez dropped the 50and took rusty’s Number so all the starters would be teens
Sid was always 50 for Hawaii. What are you talking about?
And anyway, for me Rusty will always be 4. I know he only took it the first time through because I assume of Duffy Dyer, but that's the number I always wore through Little League for him, and I even fell in love with Bruce Boisclair because of it.

" ron darling set a new low in 1985 when he switched from no. 44 to no. 12, the best of all three of darling's mets uniforms. near the end of the 1986 season darling suggested that mets starters rick aguilera (38) and sid fernandez (50) join him. dwight gooden (16) and bob ojeda (19) in what would be an all-teen starting five.
the mets reported to spring training in 1987 to find that equipment manager charlie samuels had followed through on the suggestion, giving no. 15 to augilera and sid fernandez no. 10. but the plan went awry when fernandez couldn't get comfortable in no. 10 preferring the 50 he wore not only for his home state of hawaii but for the cop show set there, hawaii five-o also his favorite. book 'em bobby o!"
...mookie, never wrong. never in doubt
apologies are accepted!
