You forgot the minus sign if it was "brisk".

        It's cold, but it's a dry cold.

And yeah, today and even yesterday wasn't so bad, when the sun was shining.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

I hope you made fun of your neighbors who stayed in, or bundled into winter coats before carefully going out.

I stole it myself, so it's cool.

Honestly, if the wind keeps calm, it's not horrible until at night. THEN you really feel the frigidness.

This true as long as the actual temp is above 0.

I still remember my frozen bangs from The Great Keweenaw "Hurricane" of March 2007. Had to go bundle up and go to my lab that night, for departmental reasons. I used to have a pic.

My dad did an annual Nordic ski race in Northern Michigan back in the 90s, and he most remembers the year that the wind chill was 20-30 below out in the treeless sections. Of course, he finished, but far from 1st place, so I'm inclined to believe it. Also, there are "icicle beard" pics.

While we are on the subject of what is and what seems cold, is it just me who thinks that the coldest places on earth are usually where gas pumps are located? The wind always blows there.

This is true. It's like the rule that the paper mill is always upwind.
