      Re: Princeton 2017-18

This team is the most frustrating thing in college hockey at the moment. One night we're whaling the opposition 9-2, the next we're losing 5-2.

To be fair, Harvard is better than Dartmouth, and has a lot more weapons. Princeton had a 2-on-0 Saturday, down 2-1, but got turned away and then saw Ryan Donato score at the other end. This Princeton team is still a work in progress, good test at ASU this weekend and then a few weeks off.

Save for the Brown game, I would say this team has beaten every opponent they were expect to beat (before the season started), and they're right about where I expected them to be. The Cornell game feels like a lifetime ago, but giving up a late goal to lose to them by 1 was a good example of what this team is capable of doing. I think a couple weeks off after Arizona State to regroup is well deserved...twelve games in five weeks to start the year feels like a lot for this team, not to mention the injuries suffered during the Harvard game (still annoyed that not a single Harvard player was penalized for any of those hits).

The biggest question mark coming into the season was the goaltending, and Ferland has looked OK so far...you have to expect some ups and downs with a freshman. However, I think teams have figured out that he's vulnerable on his blocker side. Seems like he gets beat there once or twice every game.

You could have won the game vs Colgate also, 0-0 tie.

Split at Arizona State. Pegged that series for a Princeton sweep.

Great tie against #1 St Clown, recap says your goalie had fourteen saves in the five minute OT. Unreal

BC fan here living on Staten Island. Went to this game last night and Ferland in OT pulled off one of the most amazing five-minute stretches of goaltending I've seen in quite a while. With Princeton gassed, Ferland stood on his head shot after shot. Crowd reaction to his play might have marked the noisiest I've ever experienced at ultra-quiet Hobey Baker Rink.

Tip of the hat to the improving Tigers, even with the best of the Poehlings and mother hen Motzko away from St. Cloud for the World Juniors.

Wow, this weekend feels like a heist. Fighting ties with the #1 team in the country twice in a row is awesome.

Hopefully we can turn some of these T's into W's in the coming year.

                        Re: Princeton 2017-18

Tigers sorely needed Saturday's win at Dartmouth after three rough ECAC losses. Now it's time to break for exams, and then get back to games at the end of the month.

Building up some steam going into the end of the season.

Realistically, where will we stand at the end of the regular season? First round bye in the after season?

You guys most likely will get first round home ice. Nice four game streak going !

Now that there is some action and well-deserved mind you on this thread I will chime in. As I stated on the BG thread, Princeton absolutely demolished BG in both games by a total score of 15-5 so hopefully avoiding a match up of 8 vs 9. FYI I think Veronneau and Teves are two of the best players in the league that nobody really talks about! Good luck!
