Princeton @ RPI, Saturday the 11th

Still cold outside. Sure feels like hockey season.

Big win for our Red last night. Let's go for the home sweep.

Princeton came back with two late goals to tie at the end of regulation, only to be assessed two penalties in OT before losing to Union.
They will be a hard foe but who ever said it would be easy? Let's Go, Red!

Perry looked very shaky at the start of the last two games. Lets hope that the comeback win gave him the confidence he needs to come out ready to play.
When he is on his game, he is very tough to beat.

Question, is there a max # of players who can dress for the pre-game skate in a reg. season game? Usually at home RPI dresses 3 goalies, St. Denis did not dress last night. Samec did dress for the skate but obviously didn’t play in the game.

I think that one can dress one extra skater. I don't think that the third goalie affects this, but I could be wrong.

Another one which I might miss a good part of. Will certainly be here for the start but not sure when I will get called out. Just got a look at the Union Princeton box score from yesterday. In OT Union outshot Princeton 13-0!! I know PU got called for two penalties in OT (How often does that happen unless you are RPI?) But being outshot that badly in 5 minutes time?

I don't see anything in section two. Only that 15 minutes before start, lineups and starters are submitted. That doesn't mean the league doesn't have its own rules (such as a maximum of 3 changes in lineup between games).

Does anyone know why Jesper Ohrvall isn't in the lineup this weekend? He seemed to play well last week.

Not sure, especially considering he had a goal vs. SLU. Perhaps he's just not up to 100%, and resting up for December.

Re: Princeton @ RPI, Saturday the 11th

We have seen Princeton a couple times and sat in on a practice. This is not the Princeton teams that we have seen in the past few years. They are fast and aggressive and at least the freshman class is a definite step up in the recruited talent they have been getting. We will need a good first period tonight (it has been by far our worst period this year). Would be nice to get a lead for a change.
