So how does Nichols split with Endicott over the weekend, dropping Endicott from #2 to #4, and yet reveive no votes this week after getting four votes last week? Not a big deal overall but shows the inconsistency of the voters.
SNC is still #1 in the D3Hockey poll. Looking forward to the #1 vs #1 matchup on Friday.
We may never see a #1 vs #1 split poll game again.
1. Both teams need to split in the polls
2. Both teams only have a 25 game schedule
3. The schedule needs to line up perfectly when both teams are ranked #1
I don't know what is a more rare situation, this #1 vs #1 game, or a first year expansion team in the NHL leading the league in points.

They played each other a couple of years ago in a similar situation, except I think they were both #1 in the same poll (first place votes split 10/10).
Edit: SNC was #1 and Adrian was #2 and they split the weekend series. The following poll had them joint #1.

Fun fact from SNC SID, Dan Lukes: Friday's game marks the seventh time in the last four years that SNC and Adrian have met in a #1 vs #2 game as determined by the USCHO poll.....

The results of this poll just prove why there are polls in the first place. Polls are designed to create conversation and good polls are designed to create controversy.
How could UNE get one first place vote with losses to Salve (2) and Johnson & Wales (?!) and a tie vs Nichols.
Not sure how Nichols was excluded from any mention given to total victory on Friday night vs Endicott.
Nice to see the CCC well represented among the more established conferences in the top 15. A big weekend for some of the ranked teams.
