RPI football was kind of exciting as we beat Alfred 30-15. Alfred was fairly highly regarded and had mostly wins on their record. Last year they went all the way to the quarterfinals of the NCAA where they lost an absolute scoring fest to Mount Union (i think both teams gained over 500 yards each). I do not readily recall the score but I think Mount Union scored 70 or more and Alfred was in the 40's or 50's. I do remember the Alfred quarterback threw over 60 passes and completed something like 37. So this win on the road is a good one. And with 3 regular season games remaining, we are almost certain to get a post season bid to some minor bowl. of course the big game is now Union who is 6-1 and beat Hobart today (who beat us 30-0).
